“Completed” status means that documentation related to the requirement has been received and added to your file.

“Incomplete” status means that the information submitted has been received, but that some information may be missing or incorrect. You will be notified by Board staff regarding any additional information is required to complete your application review.

“Not Applicable” status means that this particular requirement does not apply to you. No action is needed.

“Waived” status means that this requirement has been met under some other requirement. No action is needed.

Reinstatement Applicants

Reinstatement applications for all professions within the Board of Nursing are not accepted online so you will not have a ‘checklist’ to track to the progress of your application.  All reinstatement applications are available for review and may be printed directly from the Board’s application page. Please allow adequate time for the Board to receive and process your application. The review process can take up to 30 business days from the date that all documentation was received. The Board will send you a notification by email or mail regarding the next steps in the process once your application has been properly evaluated by Board staff.

The Board keeps incomplete applications on file for one year from the date of submittal. If your application has expired, you will be required to submit a new application and fee. Please contact the Board at (804) 367-4515 for this information.

If you have submitted your application and required fee online, but no longer see it listed in the Pending Licenses section below, it may have been issued by the Board. Please visit out Online Licensing page and use your current UserID and Password to login or go to License Lookup to view your newly issued license.
