Licensure Renewal Information

If you received a Renewal Notice by email, renewing your license online in a timely fashion will eliminate the need for a paper notice to be mailed via postal carrier. You may renew your license online and pay with a Visa, MasterCard or Discover card.  You may also use the online service to change your address of record, email address and obtain duplicate licenses.

If you are a first time visitor to the Online Licensing site please register as a New User using the temporary PIN provided in your Renewal Notice and your License number.

If you have already logged into the Online Licensing site and have established your username and password continue to the Login page.

Once your renewal payment has been processed, your license will be mailed to your address of record.   If you have not received your license within 14 days after renewal, please contact your board. The status of your license will be updated on the Department’s License Lookup website.

Remember, you must renew your license by your expiration date. A late fee will be imposed if you renew after the expiration date.  Practicing on an expired license may result in disciplinary action.  Fees are non-refundable.

If you wish to pay by check or money order please request a paper renewal form.  Renewing by mail will delay the renewal process.  To ensure adequate mailing and processing time, a paper renewal should be requested at least 30 days prior to the expiration date.  The completed form and payment should be returned at least 10 days prior to the expiration date.  If you do not receive the paper renewal form within 2 weeks of your request, email CallCenter@dhp.virginia.gov  for further instructions.
