We regulate Nursing Home Administrators, Nursing Home Preceptors, Assisted Living Facility Administrators and Assisted Living Facility Preceptors.
The mission of the Department of Health Professions is to ensure safe and competent patient care by licensing health professionals, enforcing standards of practice, and providing information to health care practitioners and the public.

Updated Out-of-State Practitioner Reporting Form - Addition of Assisted Living Facilities (Effective July 1, 2024)
Assisted Living Facilities have been added to the locations where health care practitioners licensed, certified, or registered in another state or the District of Columbia may temporarily practice in the Commonwealth for 90 days provided certain provisions are met.
