Updates to Board Regulations

Amendments to the Board’s Regulations Governing the Practice of Nursing Home Administrators (Ch. 20) and Assisted Living Facility Administrators (Ch. 30) are set to become effective on December 21, 2022. For more information on the regulatory changes, please view the links below.

Changes to Board Regulations for Continuing Education (CE) – NHAs and ALFAs

Changes to AIT Program Requirements for AITs and Preceptors– NHA and ALFA

Additional Pathway for Licensure of Assisted Living Facility Administrators (ALFAs)

In addition, in 2022, the National Association of Long Term Care Administrator Boards (NAB) updated and reorganized its Domains of Practice for all long term care lines of service, including core of knowledge (CORE), nursing home administration (NHA), residential care/assisted living (RC/AL), and home and community based services (HCBS).
