The Virginia Board of Veterinary Medicine consists of a 7-member Board as well as administrative, licensing, discipline, and support staff.

What We Do

We regulate Veterinarians, Veterinary Technicians, Equine Dental Technicians, and Stationary and Ambulatory Veterinary Establishments.

Recent graduates, professionals licensed outside of Virginia, and those wanting to reinstate licenses.

The Department of Health Professions investigates complaints about Virginia healthcare practitioners who may have violated a regulation or law.

Health Professionals who are licensed in Virginia can renew their licenses online.
