RENEWAL EXTENSION DUE TO HURRICANE HELENE
In accordance with Executive Order Number Thirty-Seven (2024) and the state of emergency issued by the Governor of Virginia on September 25, 2024 for those affected by Hurricane Helene, the Board of Medicine is authorized to grant a renewal extension upon request for licenses, certificates, and registrations expiring between September 25 and November 9, 2024. A licensee must be a resident of a jurisdiction affected by Hurricane Helene, including Grayson, Smyth, Tazewell, Washington, Wise and Wythe counties, and the City of Galax. To request a renewal extension, please email medbd@dhp.virginia.gov and put “Renewal Extension Request” in the subject line.
