This application is for individuals who have completed the educational requirements in 18VAC125-20-55 AND need approval to take the EPPP 1-Knowledge examination.
Education: Successfully graduate with a doctorate degree in psychology from a regionally accredited university with an appropriate course of study. An appropriate course of study means:
a. 3 or more semester hours or 5 or more quarter hours of graduate course work that includes specialized advanced courses in each of the following:
Biological bases of behavior |
Cognitive-affective bases of behavior |
Social bases of behavior |
Psychological measurement |
Research methodology |
Techniques of data analysis |
Professional standards of ethics |

b. Applied psychology competency which is a minimum of at least 18 semester hours of 30 quarter hours in the appropriate fields of an identified area of psychology, such as:

Personnel Selection and Evaluation |
Program Planning and Evaluation |
