Education Seminars

**Registration is required. Two participants per program permitted for in-person seminars. Please register via email to Beth Yates at Beth.Yates@dhp.virginia.gov with the following information: NAME, NURSING CREDENTIALS, POSITION TITLE, PROGRAM NAME, EMAIL ADDRESS.

Preparation and Regulation Review for Coordinators and Instructors of Nurse Aide Education Programs

Nurse aide education program coordinators and instructors are encouraged to attend this session to assist in the understanding of regulatory compliance. Program staff and administration are also welcome. This year the sessions will focus on preparation for continued approval survey (on-site) visits and reviewing the Regulations for Nurse Aide Education Programs.

*Germanna Community College Location Information: The session will be held in the Sealy Auditorium. The Sealy Auditorium is in the Workforce Building located behind and to the right of the building you see when you drive on campus. When arriving on campus, turn to the right and drive behind the main building. You will see the Workforce building in the back. There is a door to access the building from the parking lot.

** Radford University Location Information: There is a parking garage adjacent to the facility–there is no charge for parking. When participants park in the parking garage, they will pick floor “F”. When getting out of the parking garage elevator, take a right and walk to a breezeway which will bring you to the lobby–the lobby is on the third floor. Use the elevator in the lobby to go to the 6th floor. Participants are required to wear a mask in the lobby and in the hallways–there are masks available at the front desk if you forget yours. Masks are not required in the classroom.

Orientation to Establish a Nurse Aide Education Program

*Sessions are held three times each year.

Nurse Aide Education program coordinators and instructors are encouraged to attend this session for information to assist with establishing a nurse aide education program. This session will include a review of regulations and information regarding the application process. Program staff and administration are also welcome.
