The content on this page is intended for administration, faculty, and staff of Virginia’s approved PN or RN education programs as well as the process for applying for approval of a PN or RN education program in Virginia. Be advised the Virginia Board of Nursing does not regulate nor approve out of state or post licensure nursing education programs.

Education Seminars

Orientation to establish a Pre-Licensure PN or RN Nursing Program

**Material covered is the same on each date, please register for one date only.

Who is required to attend:

• Per Board of Nursing Regulation 18VAC90-27-30 (1), Program Directors applying for approval of a pre-licensure PN or RN education programs must attend an orientation seminar.

This seminar will:

• Explain the application process to become an approved pre-licensure nursing education program.
  
• Review regulatory requirements to submit an application for a pre-licensure nursing education program.

Preparation and Regulation Review for Program Directors and Faculty of Pre-Licensure Nursing Programs

**Material covered is the same on each date, please register for one date only.

Who should attend:

• Program administration and faculty members of approved pre-licensure nursing education programs.

This seminar will:

• Be beneficial in survey visit preparation.
• Review regulations for approved PN and RN nursing education programs.
• Provide information regarding upcoming continued approval survey visit.
